Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma is a South African politician who is the former African Union (AU) Commission Chair. Formerly an anti-apartheid activist, Nkosazana has held a number of influential government positions in South Africa including Minister of Health (1994 to 1999) under President Nelson Mandela and Minister of Foreign Affairs (1999 to 2009) under Presidents Thabo Mbeki and Kgalema Motlanthe. She was moved to the position of Minister of Home Affairs in the Cabinet of President Jacob Zuma.
